Bringing hope and purpose to our world
by loving our community into relationship with God
and leading them into being devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

That is the mission of the Vineyard Church in Lawrence. How do we accomplish this mission? We do this by helping people come to know Jesus Christ because it is He who brings hope and it is He who brings purpose.

We believe people can be brought to know Jesus Christ simply by displaying to them His love and His desire for them. We do this by being visible examples of Christ; as we have been instructed to do.

How can we be examples of Christ? We can be examples of Christ by doing the things that He did. Just as Jesus always looks to the Father to see what to do, we always look to Jesus. We serve a meal every month at the homeless shelter because we have seen that Jesus loved His people by feeding them. We do community out reaches because we have seen that Jesus loved His people by reaching out to them. We have active mid-week groups because we have seen that Jesus loved His people by interacting with them on a personal level. We care for the people in our community because we have seen that Jesus cares for all of His people.

These examples are just the tip of the iceberg. Displaying God's love to people is not just doing the things that Jesus has already done; it is also being a part of what He is doing now. If you desire to know Christ then we would love to have you be a part of our community of believers.
