This teaching is given by guest speaker Mike Lehnherr who is from Leavenworth,KS. The teaching, on Zechariah 4:1-10, is about not despising the days of small beginnings. In these passages the Lord is telling Zechariah that He is going to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem using the hands of Zerubbabel.
Many doubted that the temple could be rebuilt and others despised the new temple for being smaller and less glorious than the original. God, however, had different plans. He planned to use this smaller and less glorious temple as the catalyst by which His Spirit would be released to the whole world.
Where would we be at today had Zerubbabel listened to those who doubted his God given mission? As followers of Christ, we need to have confidence in God's plans for us even in the days of small beginnings.
